The experience

Two days built for PMO leaders who came to work

Most of your time is spent in small groups with other PMO leaders, working on real problems. Everyone meets in the Exhibition Zone for breaks, lunch and the reception.

In detail

What is a PMO unconference?

Everything you need to know before May 2027 — the format, the audience and why PMO unCON comes to Montreal.

An unconference, not a conference

A PMO unconference inverts the traditional event model. There is no fixed line-up of keynote speakers talking at an audience. The labs and forums set the themes. Inside each one, the questions on the tables come from you: you send yours before the event, and the facilitators build the sessions from them.

The result is closer to a working session between peers than to a lecture. Every attendee is expected to contribute, which is why PMO unCON keeps the group deliberately small compared with a mass-market project management conference.

Why Montreal in 2027

After editions in Paris, Istanbul and San Diego, PMO unCON North America 2027 comes to Montreal, Canada, on May 11–12, 2027 — a bilingual, international city that is easy to reach for PMO leaders from across North America and beyond.

The group stays small enough for real conversation. The venue is being finalised and will be announced on this page.

Who comes to PMO unCON

The room is intentionally mixed: PMO directors and heads of PMO, portfolio and transformation leaders, PMO consultants and advisors, and project and programme managers who are shaping the way delivery works in their organisation.

Venue, registration, pricing and the full programme for Montreal 2027 are announced on this page and sent first to the updates list.
